Volunteer Spotlight – Jeannine

Those of you who have participated in the Climb for Cancer before will have already met one of our most famous volunteers but if you are new to The Climb this year, we would like to introduce you to “Miss Piggy”! Aka Jeannine Mac Isaac.

Jeannine is one of our many amazing volunteers and has been cheering on climbers since it all started, in 2006. She hasn’t missed a year yet! “Miss Piggy” can be seen cheering people on and giving them that extra smile as they step in front of cancer. Jeannine is a teacher and climbs with her students on the Friday “School Day” Climb, saying “The best part is watching the students grind it out and then at the end see their pride of their accomplishments”.

The next day on  Saturday, Jeannine is back and Missy Piggy makes her appearance! “I do it because I believe in it”, Jeannine says. “I love to give back. I love the energy, love Brian [‘Founder], love what is stands for and know it helps others.” When asked what she loves most about volunteering for The Climb for Cancer as a “Cheer Chick” she says, “The best part of the community day is seeing the smiles of the people when I squirt them with water and shout positive comments at them.”

We would like to thank you Jeannine, for being such an amazing volunteer. We couldn’t do it without you.
