Ever since the first Climb for Cancer in May 2008, the event wouldn’t have happened nor would it continue to happen without the assistance and passion of our volunteers. We are forever grateful for your commitment and your amazing energy – our amazing volunteers. Thank you for making us what we are.
Here is this week’s Climbfor Cancer’s “Outstanding Volunteers” big “HIGH FIVE”.
For those of us who have attended The Climb for Cancer, chances are you are familiar with Nikki and Dennis – volunteers from ProCare Athletic Therapy.
Usually found in the first aid tent or warm up area, ProCare, a physical rehabilitation practice that specializing in osteopathic treatment and athletic therapy will happily help any participant, spectator or volunteer who stops by. Nikki and Dennis are amazing volunteers who see to anything our climbers may need during their hour to step in front of cancer.
“Brian [Founder] has been a good friend for many years,” says Nikki. “His enthusiasm and excitement for The Climb are contagious; we were thrilled to start helping seven years ago …. and we haven’t looked back since. It’s a great cause and we love to help out in any way we can”. When not assisting a climber, Nikki and Dennis can be found on the sidelines “cheering extra loud for everyone who participates”.
When asked what they would say to someone who hasn’t tried The Climb for Cancer before – or are debating whether to come again, Nikki had this to say. “DO IT! Even if you only climb one set, you get to be a part of something really great and it’s a wonderful experience”.
Dennis and Nikki from ProCare, thank you for being a part of The Climb for Cancer!
